    First E30 First Car

Hey guys my name is Jimmy O, im 17 and from South jersey. Been looking for an e30 for the past few months and checked out a few. Finally settled on a 325es that was mechanically in really good shape. Previous owner was an audi tech and kept the car really nice while performing some performance stuff included a new race chip, magnaflow exuast, new bilistien shocks all around. The previous previous owner was a little bit of an idiot. The hood isnt original, the paint on the rest of the car is an amazing red but the hood was silver then painted red with black stripes. That owner also tried to debadge the car but didn’t do a good job. That same owner was also a dog owner. When checking out the car there was still hair in the carpet and the seller recommended I pull the seats to clean it really good. So When I brought it home and started cleaning it out I realized the carpets were damp and sticky. There was no way it could be water. Turns out to be dog piss that’s been sitting there for a few years. So it didn’t smell that bad but Im sure it would on a hot day. So I ended up cutting out the bad sections and Im gonna replace it with carpet from a car in the pick and pull yard hopefully. The guy threw in a some parts with the car he never had a chance to install as he bought the car when he hit a dear in his s6 and needed something to drive while it was being repaired. This included a new timing belt and valve cover gasket (it leaks a very little bit).

Future plans for the car are to lower it a tad, and get some new wheels (don’t really like the bottle caps). I figure all I will need to lower it is new springs becuase it already has new shocks, right?. I believe the diving board bumpers have already been tucked in but I havent compared them against a stock car. I also want to get rid of most of the chrome trim, Ive never been a fan of chrome, its to flashy. So im either gona black it out or remove it, again, Im still learning.

I guess that’s it for now, hope you guys like it! Haha

Thanks guys, I know it needs some tlc. After I got it home and took started taking a really close look at things it appear i did over pay a little after we decided on around 3500. I felt really bad for the guy as we got our schedules mixed up and he thought i was gonna be there at 2 when i was gonna be there at 6 and he was at the shore for the weekend with his wife for their anniversary and they came home early.

If you saw it in person you would understand why its worth more then that. The original paint is amazing, the leather in the interior is flawless, the original dash is uncracked, has around 1000 dollars in preventive maitenence already done to it. My ideal price for it was around 3000, im not gonna cry about it now.
