Well that's the problem, I leave for college in two months and can't take it with me. But my dad will be driving it and he wants to mod it. Any suggestions on mods?
What supercharger exactly? That was going to be our first engine modification. The rest of the above will probably be coming within the next months :)
once again: well the only production supercharger that exists for this car (by my knowledge) is the Downing Atlanta supercharger, which costs about $3500, and gives you a respectable power boost, up to 188 whp (from 127) which puts you in E30 M3 land.
But, it would be quite interesting to see a BONE stock 318is with a supercharger. It will just be a bone stock 318is, except fast. quite interesting, in fact.
I would focus on suspension and a set of wheels, first and foremost. Then worry about the rest, ie. drivestrain-- 4.10lsd if you don't have one, engine-- dslyva chip, COP conversion, exhaust, and of course general maintenance.
You'll learn alot just by searching the boards... tons of very useful info out there. Oh, and don't forget to check m42club for reference guides and just about everything m42.
Haha hmm... I assume that's your car? Specs? Please :)
that be my bucket o' bolts.
specs: Same exact thing as your car (1991 318is alpine white)
except with:
H&R Race springs
Bilstien Sport shocks
IE RSMs
full rear poly bushings and E30 M3 front CABs
15x7 Kosei K1 wheels
a whole lot of rust
character
no interior.

Yes I read about this specific supercharger, but it's a little pricey. ( and outdated by the looks of the website) After all of the exterior stuff besides the engine I might look for a swap. s50 or m30 maybeh?? :)

Thanks, I've been looking on m42club as well. And I will definitely take your advice on the mods. I had most of those planned.

Oh very nice, I think I'll stick with mine though ;) I really like your wheel and suspension setup tho. A lot...

thanks! the wheels I have are discontinued in that offset, but tirerack sells the same wheel in a different offset with spacers and longer bolts included.
And as far as a swap, in my opinion, the S50 is the BEST swap for an E30. The motor is lighter than the M30 and puts out significantly more hp. (240 vs 208 )
But i would second the motion to first do wheels and suspension. There is nothing better for a well-balanced 318is than to upgrade the handling capabilities on an already capable car. Handling is the strong point of the 318is.
and do spend time on www.m42club.com, there is vast amounts of M42 knowledge over there that only can get barely touched on here in the R3V M42 subforum.

O okay, well i'll definitely check out tirerack soon then thanks!
And as far as the swap, the s50 is my first choice. I just need to find one and figure out how to put it in. IE talk to my mechanic.
What is the best suspension setup you think? I want it lower than it is now, but not anything drastic.
