That really sucks but could have been 10x worse. Good thing you hadn't gone to sleep yet or your would have lost your whole car and maybe even your house! Depending on how close your car was, and like you said it could have spread to your neighbor's property. I had some early tails that were cracked, I'll check to see if I still have them and see what condition they are in. You need carpet for the trunk? I should have all the trunk lining from my junk car if you're interested, shipping would probably be expensive as it is heavy.

so i just fixed the knocking sound with my engine and i am about to shower and go to sleep because i need to be up for work in 5 hours. It was 3o'clock am when i was about to knock out and i hear a pop. I get up and check to see if my dog is trying to get out the front door or if someone is there. so i go check it out and open the front door and there is nothing but this burnining plastic smell so i think i left the stove on i walk into my kitchen and see the whole room is lit with a yellow light. I freak thinking ,my house is on fire and rush out side and see that my car is ablaze. i grab the hose and put it out. the thing that started the fire was this fucking old ass piece of shit battery charger. I left my car on charge over night so i would have a fully battery and the old fucking thing shorted and lit my shit on fire. Luckely i went to check the noise but shit if i didnt have a full tank the fumes could ahve heated and blown my car in two. But i can't afford new/used tail lights so if anyone has a early model tail light for cheap or free i would be much obliged. Or if someone need a late model drives tail light for a trade i have one.
