    Making some progress

Well since I got rid of my STI Im tried of driving my car into the ground. Time to fix it up.

I ordered a whole bunch of parts and as they are coming in Im putting it on.

This is what I have so far.....

Put a new water temp gauge in the car so I know what my temp really is (thank god, because I found out my cooling system was bad and I just replaced everything)....

Im going to do a car wrap in satin gold (easier and more flexible than painting). They only had enough at the time to do the hood. The rest of the material is going to be in next week.

    I black out the grill..

And today I got my car tinted, bought new high beams, did the yellow, and put the IS lip with splitter on.

Next up, full gold wrap, custom euro plate, replace broken fog/yellow/35w hid 3400k and H4 buckets smoked with hids.

    Matt

      Nice fix up.
Wouldn't the h4 conversion turn them into asshole beams?

        How does that wrap work?
I dont think ive ever seen that haha

        looks like good progress
the wrap stuff kinda seems iffy
seems like it would get ruined with the elements hitting it (snow, rain, sun, anything you have where you live)
Seems like it would bubble and stufff

I think the kidneys looked better chrome (aka, stock), but hey, that's just me. Nice progress nonetheless. And that temp gauge is goofy.

The wrap is legit. It will last 5 years out doors. Have you ever seen flat black cars? I'm talking about a new skyline or what not. That shits not painted, it's wraped. You can peel it off years later and your paint will be fine. It also doesn't stain. Honestly better than paint IMO. You can do what ever color you want and change it every year if you wanted.

Btw the kidneys are wraped. I can just peel it off and it will be chrome again.

Here's what I did tonight. I did some smoke wrap on the tail lights. Very light smoke. It looks pretty decent. And I did warp for the plate insert.

The I did wrap for all the chrome trim around the windows.

              Getting mo betta

How expensive/inexpensive is the wrap? Is it hard to apply?

Sorry but with all that wrap talk, this just seemed appropriate. Can't wait to see how all the wrap turns out. Until then, that's a wrap.

The gauge wasn't too bad to install. You have to take the cluster all apart. I had to enlarge the hole a bit.

Not sure how much it would take to wrap the entire car. I haven't done it all yet. I'm waiting for the material to come in. I'm guess about $800 in materials, probably less. That's if you do it yourself. If you get a place to do it for you it's like $2500+.
