    While changing valve cover gasket....

Did an oil change and replaced the valve cover gasket as it was leaking a bit, and what did I find?

so far so good... oh wait

These hoses are only about 6 months or so old.... no wonder I could never get my idle to stay rock solid as it would sometimes fluctuate about 50-100rpms randomly.

This is the icv to intake manifold hose, I could actually see it collapse while the engine running and noticed a crack in it.

WTFBBQ...I got these from autohausaz, but this time around picked up a set from dealer. We'll see how long they'll last.

So...check your hoses, they might LOOK ok but that's about it.

Picked up a set of new ones, installed and idle is solid now!

I need to check these as my idle has been off a little lately.

I've had iffy luck with some of the hoses I've been getting lately too... I get everything from AutohausAZ but I'm sure they carry what everyone else does.

looks like your "new" hose is already about 2 years old too. and seems it was made in the u.s.-- kinda odd to me.

That's a picture of the 6 months old hose actually from autohausaz that failed.

Funny, just did my valves and the same issue is happening to me. Hoses look fine and did the ol' carb cleaner spray trick, but it still seems like a small vacuum leak.

Thanks for the justification to check those out again.
