Those caps are worse than bottle caps.
I don't think so... I have both hubcaps and b-caps. I chose the bmw steelies and hubcaps over the bottecaps.
I think Im made a good choice. + I get better traction with steelies (with snows) in the snow.

As for the rims...I'm shooting big time for HRE's! 840R series (bbs rx like) in 18 inch. With the engine work the notorious 18 inch weight issues wont matter. Rubbing problems: Nah..not with HRE's custom made-to-fit wheels.(Et offset) 17's are also considered..but I like 18's. 8)

The bling factor of those won't really match the all OEM approach to your car. Plus, you're going to have to lower a lot more if you get 18's :)

Not really, your car will just be slower than it could be. But then again HRE's are fucking sick wheels and they would look absolutely gorgeous. If you're considering spending that kind of money on your car, you should consider doing a 5-lug swap, as that would give you even more options for wheels, like BBS LM"s. :D

And hubcaps are for hyundais and kias, not Bimmers.

TJ my car will have a full body kit on it before the spring. I have ACS side skirts and a rear skirt is on the way. The rims will look nice with the car's overall appearance..I'm sure of it. I plan to lower it a little more sometime later (after the turbo, exhuast and stuff) My sachs sporting kit (similiar to eibach spring's drop) hasn't seen many miles so I'll run them foir another year atleast. Then I'm going to definately go with the Ground Control setup. I also am plannign on getting a big brake kit (don't know what brand yet). That would be a blast to have bigger brakes 8) *With the HRE 18's I plan on using Potenza S03's. :D

I'll still have the OZ's and the bottle caps..I would loove to pick up a set of 14' baskets someday too..but right now my priorities are set for the kit, rims and turbo.

Brew if I'm unhappy with the weight of the 18's I could test out the turbo with the bottlecaps & summer 14" tires (Plus it will look like a real sleeper then ;) )
As for the bmw steelies and hubcaps... I like em and I'm sticking with them for the winter. It's a no brainer..Steels are the best in the winter :) What I am doing with them..is putting on my 15mm h&r wheel spacers to give me a ET 20 offset (They are Et 35 ) . I will also paint the steels flat black because right now they are silver under the caps.
