My not so clean multi owner e30

First off, my name is Jack, I live in a tiny town in idaho, and there aren't many places to get help on a bmw. Just looking for some help when i need it, and learn alot more about the works of art.

This is my 87 325iS got it in trade for a Turbocoupe that i had. The car currently has 18x,xxx miles, and runs great. It has trouble starting on the first start, you have to hit the gas to keep it running, and it sounds like its missing then smooths out, and smokes during that period that its missing. but clears up after that.

The body is rough, it has a salvaged title :( there's pieces of bondo so the car looks like a complete POS hah.

currently no plans for the car, since whenever i have plans i fail at completing them.

    onto pics:

what it used to look like:

    Now:

Currently as of today i pulled the trans cause the clutch stopped engaging and this is what i found:

I'll post more pics and info as the car progresses.

There is at least one thread on "tucking diving boards." The bumpers are referred to as diving boards on here, and you want to "tuck them."

Essentially you can leave them on the car, take a drill to teh bumper shock (there are two, you'll see them) and then slowly ram something and push the bumper in.
