    My "new" 325is

I just purchased an '87 325is from Pasco, Washington and drove it back to Upstate, New York over the weekend. 3,000 miles in 66 hours.

She's a Zinnoberrot, black leather, 5-speed with 181,000 miles. The car is completely stock except for a nice Eclipse/Polk/Kenwood stereo upgrade and a Dinan chip. It's been over 10 years since I sold me previous E30 and I'm psyched to have one again.

    Just saying hi to everyone!

    Here she is...

Very good shape for the age. Worn items include driver's seat left bolster, driver's side door sill, e-brake cracked, ash tray partially broken, and the shift knob and steering wheel leather are both worn.

Knob will be replaced with a TWM weighted knob and the steering wheel will be replaced with a Sparco wheel.

Carpet & mats are in great shape. Rear seat is in near perfect condition. Aside from a little age showing the headliner is in very good shape.

No cracks on the dash, something my old E30 had.

With some TLC and a few trips to a pick and pull yard the interior will be near perfect.

Yeah, they're going bye-bye. But after driving 3,000 miles on I-90 I'm glad I had them for the trip.

Nice. While you're at it, grab a brand new e-brake handle, they're like 7 bucks--or you could nab a leather wrapped one from an E34 at the yard.
                  paint sucks

                        In the short term:
New exhaust and intake, UUC short shifter, Suspension (not sure about which one yet),16x8 wheels (not sure which yet, but I'm leaning towards a set of Schmidt TH-Lines), smoked tail lights, clear indicators, and shortened bumpers.

                        Long term:
Custom reupholstrey, black carpet, black headliner, replace the window trim to its original chrome goodness, S50 motor swap, HID w/ Euro beams, and possibly carbon hood and trunk (paint matched).

3,000 miles of driving certainly helped too.
