IT LIVES!!!! 318is content 56k good luck

Hello everyone, I have been away from this community for long enough.

These are the last true photo shoot pictures of my car before I basically stopped being an active member on here.

To make a very long story short, I crashed my 318is fall of 2009 leaving me to deal with this. Cause of crash - driver error/neglect, tires had very low tread remaining.

Then I was working on parting out my 535is when i had an onslaught of medical problems, to be honest the medical problems could not have been at a worse time. Trying to part out a car, shipping parts out, dealing with graduating one school then going to another in the fall. oh yeah and having to save money to rebuild my 318is. Ya basically life sucked.

So now that I was all better, this being about June. I decided it was time to get to work on the 318. I brought it down to the body shop and after about 3 weeks I figured i would check and see how it was going. There I was surprised to find them ahead of schedule since I told them I did not need it back immediately. Apparently they had a lack of work and had some extra time to work on my car. :):)

So after 4 weeks i had my car back. Minus the interior, since it was removed by me due to a water leak so. I realized that now is a good a time as any to overhaul the interior, this included the HVAC unit to replace all the foam and clean the smell of mice that had moved in over the storage time, installing uncracked dashboard (thanks dashboardmonkey), and Dynamatting the entire vehicle, and coloring the needles on the gauge cluster.

I am extremely saddened to inform you that I completely forgot to take pictures during this entire project. I only have one video of me halfway through installing the dynamat.

DON'T ASK ABOUT THE MUSIC PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND. NOT MY FAULT.

So after dealing with the interior it was time to address the issue that caused me to crash in the first place, balding tires.

    That should help.

Then i remembered driving the car back from the body shop and having to deal with a terrible feeling in the steering wheel. After looking underneath i realized it was the Steering shaft flex joint.

After a quick trip to the dealer I came back with a brand new flex joint, and now it turns better than new.

So now on to why you all came here i give you my newly rebuilt and improved 1991 318is.

So I hope that explains where i have been for a while. I am happy with how the car sits now yes I know I could go lower but New England roads are a bitch.

thanks ya I know the wheels are a little big, but I was sick of seeing the same thing on everyone's car so i figured i do something different. finally deciding on18inch breyton sport magics, with 10mm spacers in front and 15mm in rear.

as for the lowering i want a set of coilovers but as i said New England roads are a bitch and I don't really have the money for them, so i am stuck with eibach prokit.

Right so the neo-gens. They have fantastic dry grip and they seem to be lasting very well. However in the wet/rain they can be quite twitchy. They overall however I love them the only issue is the price $280 a piece but that is also due to the rare size 215/30R18. As long as you are ready for the wet weather they are fantastic.
