    Just bought a 91 318is

Picked this up today for $1000.

165,000 on a non-working speedo. One coil is bad, so it is only running on 3 cylinders at the moment, but I have another coil on the way. Other then that, engine seems to be in great shape. Compression numbers were 180 across the board.

Here's the twist. I'm pulling the engine out and putting it in this:

Should be almost double in HP and torque with the added benefit of fuel injection and a lighter engine. Swapping the 5-speed as well.

My plan is to get it running correctly and drive it for a week or so and make sure the engine is running well and fix anything while it's still in the e30. Then it will be parted out.

Awesome. I fricking love your MG. My buddy had an MG roadster when I was a kid and I always coveted it. I had to settle for wrenching on it for him, though. :)

                      oh my fuck.

Do not die before you bring that pile of british shit up here. You can even die on the way home, but get it here. Lord knows that YOU are the only chance of one of those evil things ever having a functioning electrical system, so it will likely make it here...only 6 hours drive anyway.

Spend the weekend, we will make the stereo sound bitchin and stuff.

                      Closing SOON!

I'm tempted to bring it to the picnic next year. The engine isn't the only thing out of an E30 that is going into it, so...

I'm definitely down for the stereo, but have some of my own craziness planned for that. Lets just say some fiberglass work is in my future. I would like to talk to you about box specs though at some point.
