Swap the good motor into the bronzit car, then part the black car out. Doing it any other way is unacceptable.

Not to hi-jack the thread, but it strikes a nerve with me as I own a Maaco. Please don't assume that just because one, or a few Maaco's put out a sub-par product that all Maaco's do crappy work. Frankly, even big insurance-only shops have unhappy customers. I'll agree, some Maacos (they're all franchises) ruin it for the rest of us, its hard to defend a Maaco, but many shops, mine included are ICAR "gold class" certified. I won't paint "$299" jobs for the exact reason everyone thinks we suck. Your "decent spray" quote is right around our weekly average repair order.

Changing gears, I always recommend to my friends and customers with project cars to do the body work and paint LAST!

You can swap an m20 for another m20 in a day with two people wrenching.

Keep the bonzit in one piece.

Do what these people say, that Schwartz isint worth it. Find a harbor freight, buy a engine hoist for $100 and some jack stands. Id rather swap engine then bother with body work.

This is the truth! My buddy and I pulled an M20 in less than 30 min. A couple hours later and you've got the other one in and running!

If this many people feel the need to advocate keeping a Bronzit car over a Schwartz, you are obligated by e30 ownership law 32 section c to comply. Do the swap and preserve you wallet.

Yes, I've changed my mind and I'm going to swap the engine into the Bronzit, with the help of Danny. Picking up an engine hoist either tomorrow or Saturday morning.
