Traded '59 Land Rover for built '90 325i

So my dad has had this 1959 Land Rover for more than half of my life and recently he decided that he needed a small car to toodle around in, something that gets good gas mileage for driving from campus to campus at work. Before, he was using his Jeep Cherokee for work, while this Land Rover had just been sitting for a couple years. So he decided to trade it. Luckily he found some kid who was wanting to trade his 1990 325i for a 4x4 of equal value. This kid was only about 19 years old and him and his friends fell in love with this Land Rover. I'm sad to see the old Land Rover go, but I love this e30.

The kid was building it up for racing so it has a lot of extra stuff... I'll post pictures later on. This is my first e30. I just sold my '04 Nissan Xterra to get one of these. And I just bought a 1984 318i for my dad to trade him for this car. This car is extremely fun to drive. I still don't know what half of the stuff on this list is. I have a lot of learning to do.

    Here's what the kid listed:

1990 BMW 325i for trade that has a rebuilt engine built for pro 3 racing
    Engine mods:
New rebuilt M20b25 Engine, built for Pro 3 racing.
Ported and Polished Cylinder Head with M30b35 double valve springs.
    Custom bored throttle body.
    E36 S50 fuel injectors.
    Gasket matched Intake Manifold.
Bavarian Auto Sport Ceramic Coated Headers.
    New Magna Flow cat.
    Dinan performence computer chip.
    Fuel pressure gauge installed.
Custom oil pan to hold more oil for racing.

    Drive Train:
    New fly wheel.
    New clutch.
    Z4 short shifter.

    Suspension mods:
    No power steering pump.
    Bilstein Sport Shocks.
Eibach stage 3 race springs from Ireland Engineering.
Billet Aluminum Rear Shock Mount with urethane bushings with
    reinforcement plate from Ireland Engineering.
Urethane Rear Subframe Mounts street from Ireland Engineering.
Rear Trailing Arm Urethane Bushing Kit from Ireland Engineering.
    Front solid control arm bushings.
Custom made rear Camber and Toe Adjustment.

The exhaust pipes are scraping when I go over bumps, not the larger oil pan. Need to figure out someway to fix this.

    Here's my dads: 1984 318i

Land rover was very cool. E30 is nice though, looks very very low as well.

After spending a couple of weeks tracing a wiring short on fuse 12 (keeping everything in the cluster but the speed and odo from working) a power steering pump was added back...

The rebuild was a few years back.

Man, I love those old Land Rovers. Probably my next project after getting my e30 to a reasonable place will be an old Rover. Looks like you got a slick little car in exchange.

When would that oil pan be necessary?
