Did you lower the car somewhere on Pg.3? What springs? I'm just wondering if regular e30 suspension works as well on tourings or does the extra rear weight make that much of a difference? I have a set of H&R race here that were destined for my early model coupe but I think I'm going to take the plunge and go with GC coilovers on it.For all things 24v, check out Markert Motorworks!Originally posted by mbonanniI hate modded emtree, I hate modded cawrz, I hate jdm, I hate swag, I hate stanceyolokids, I hate bags (on cars), I hate stuff that is slowz, I hate tires.
I am a pursit now.

Rear shocks are Boge that were on it when I bought it but ive fitted a pair of E36 Compact Ti springs to give it a little drop :D
Coilovers are on the cards for the future though.

Well finally got round to getting the timimg casing off.
Bastard tight that centre bolt.
Borrowed a SnapOn impact gun of monkey and even that wouldnt touch it.
Ended up using proper pikey methods to hold the engine stable then used a 3/4 ratchet with 3ft scaff pole...that done the trick :D
Anyway timing cover now gone to have a return pipe welded onto it which ill be getting back on Monday.
Gave the block a bit of a clean up and quick coat of VHT paint.
Ive no idea how long this will last when the engine has been run but looks tidy in the short term.
Camera makes it look a bit brighter than it is really.

Spent a few hours on the engine today.
Fitted new oil relief valve into the head then it was mated back onto the block.
All torqued down to spec then new vanos seals fitted before getting that back on and set up.
Also got my M20 flywheel back after having it lightened.
Just put it on the scales and weights bang on 7kg :D
Just got to give the sump and oil pick up pipe a good clean up and they can go back on.
Then its just a case of fitting the new rear crankseal before bolting the other bits like oil filter housing etc back on.
Hopefully itll be dry tomorrow so should get most of it done then :P

Picked up some more parts for the engine this week.
Pair of M5 rubber mounts,KWP waterpump and new gasket for alloy stat housing.
Hoping to get it all back together this weekend then ill crack on with modding the M50 engine loom and stripping the autobox loom out of it at the same time.
Got my modded M52 manifolds back this week too which I was planning on using untill I was ready to turbo it but these might be being passed onto someone else yet.

Progress has been slow of late for various reasons but did manage to get round to cleaning it yesterday.
Spent a couple of hours with some polish and wax.Came up really well although it wasnt too bad to start with I suppose.
Fitted some wing/bonnet seals which look pretty cool.
Got a load cover with built in luggage net as it already had the clips fitted in the rooflining.
M50 is now all built back up ready to be fitted which ill hopefully get time to make a start on soon.
Well thats about it,no real progress made really :o:
Going to order some Yellow lamin x for the fogs and go back to clear headlights too.
Oh and also fitted some OEM tweeters pods with upgraded tweets bonded in :D
Couple of shit pics in my driveway as didnt want to get it dirty taking it out :P
