will cal to discuss tomorrow but....
-seems like one switch above the dash (window kill switch) is missing. i dont see any connectors for it either so it might be a link to why your windows wont roll down and why it seems kind of messy back there
-those wires above your break cylinder seem important, i will check and cross reference the colors to see where they lead
-dont be too overwhelmed, especially with radio area. Its not gonna be the cleanest of jobs but youre probably going to add an aftermarket radio anyway. In that case, all speakers need to be independently wired to the head unit which will leave a bunch of unconnected factory wires laying around anyway (the red/yellow ones). It actually looks like thats the current case now. Did the PO have an aftermarket radio?
-again, dont worry! after a nice clean up and wire trace (and a lot of learning/patience), youre gonna realize that the car may not have all premium options; so some connectors may not lead anywhere and may remain empty/unconnected. I know its weird but they (bmw) may have used the premium wire harness just in case the later option was added.
