just going with my first hand experience.
I got allot of negative comments on my new purchase of my e30 m3.
guys said they wouldn't even want one.and theres one foresale for 5 k they could care less about buying.that if you own a e30 m3 your a automatic prick well theses were there comments.
they hatted on my 1988 stroker and my e36 dinan supercharged 2.
well hope he enjoys the car and ignore people who are jealous.

Tony, the car has sat for the better part of 6 years but actually last ran in January, when the PO moved from another city and drove it here.

So it's only been 10 months or so. Not too bad.

Dinanm3, two things.
1, That's not an M3, purists will agree.
2, you aren't in the socal chat anymore, so I would tread lightly in larger forums. No one out here is jealous of you, none of us care about your cars or how much money is involved. We like e30's. This car in this thread is why we are here. Most of us enjoy watching guys like this save a car like this. Go back to your socal chat and be a troll there.

Nice car, what are you going to do to get it running? It sounds like all it needs is some fresh fluids and some basic tune up parts.
