to the OP--
car looks great.
you should check the wiring harness out-- about 12" after it comes out of the firewall the grounding straps all come together for the crank position sensors-- I have has 2 E30 M3s now that misteriously wouldnt start after sitting a long time and both were corrosion at this point.
cleaned the spot up, resoldered the point and everything worked great.

I actually got it started on Sunday - after going through the ignition system and getting spark on all four, it still wouldn't start. The fuel pumps were working and there was gas in the rail, but the plugs weren't nearly as wet as they should've been. Ended up being stuck injectors! I tapped them all when my buddy turned over the motor, and VRRROOOOM it roared to life! It was very exciting!
I took it for the first drive last night... it was amazing!! I am in love with the balance of this car. So light, so tight, handles like a dream and the S14 is more torquey than I imagined.
Now I'm getting to the smaller stuff - the tach doesn't work, from searching here I'm assuming SI batteries. Central locking is all wonky, as is the sunroof. Windows worked last week, but don't now (fuse? relay?).

Check the grounds on the back of the cluster - another known issue for gauges not working correctly.
Windows- if none of them are working, check the breaker. Sometimes it doesn't look like it's tripped, but fiddling with it will reset it. If one window is an issue, swap the buttons around. They are a bad design from the start. I"ve gone though several before finally changing out to E36 switches.Chris
