Color matched Euro bumpers don't look bad. I'm with everyone else though that red stuff looks kinda trashy on an otherwise clean looking car. Digging the wheels.
This car intrigues me. It is an early model (you can tell from the interior and wheel arches as well as the tails) but it has a late model valence.... I like it. All except the piping. That said, it's your car so have fun with it.
Oh dear, it looks like I have some explaining to do. surprised to see how much of a commotion the red stripes caused, a lot of people don't even notice it. I've never gotten anything but complements about it in person. Anyway it started with the grille... noticed that a gti had a similar looking grille to the e30 so i put a gti stripe on it, and then i moved on to the rest of the car... a lot of 80's cars have this sort of thing going on so it seemed fitting... i don't intend to change that part of the car, although i was thinking of going with a different color. the splitter is apparently a ryan g splitter that came along with a bunch of other extra parts when i bought the car.
i was just thinking about getting a mk2gti and this happen..it look nicely done but since gti had them, it doesn't feel right. anyways, welcome brother
you should REALLY restore those euro bumpers to their original trim.
oh hells no. i plan on getting new roundels (the old ones were ruined so i painted them), and getting rid of the stripe on the spoiler (it's not completely straight and it bugs the shit out of me), the stripe on the grille and the side trim is not going anywhere... Also want to get some sideskirts for it but i think it would look weird without a rear valence on an early car. I have a RD rear valence and skirts that someone gave me, but i think it's made for a diving board car so i don't think it would look right.
