yeah, i saw what you were saying... i just prefer them the way they are. maybe if the car had chrome window trim and some more old-school wheels. i think the white fits better with the rest of the car.

If you like the red stripes OP, keep em there but put the regular roundels back on like you said, and paint the rear tow hook back to original and the IS badge. After that, it would bring out the red stripes as a more subtle 80's styling rather than a "i got really happy with paint pens and masking tape one day" sort of look. It looks thought out, just not executed properly. And ya know what I actually didnt notice the euro bumpers yesterday. The more I see this thing, the more I actually like it.

            Welcome!

            I have a feeling we've met before??

Car's lookin' good! Keeping it unique, individuality is good, otherwise we'd all have whitebread on our plates.

I acutally really like the color-matched euro bumps with the late model front valence. RD skirts and rear apron would be tits too. Have you at least checked the fittment of the rear with the Euro-bumper?

But I do agree with the crowd that the red stripeyness is a tad much. Once you get the new roundels and undo the stripe on the spoiler it may just bring it back that one notch within the realm of class while still being your own.

I've never gotten anything but complements about it in person. Anyway it started with the grille... noticed that a gti had a similar looking grille to the e30 so i put a gti stripe on it, and then i moved on to the rest of the car... a lot of 80's cars have this sort of thing going on so it seemed fitting... i don't intend to change that part of the car, although i was thinking of going with a different color. the splitter is apparently a ryan g splitter that came along with a bunch of other extra parts when i bought the car.

dont listen to any of these fools. I agree with you. Keep the stripes but just change the color

to black. then they will look awesome

I agree here, the grill is interesting but the other ones could do with a shade of black.

yeah i will next time i come up there... probably when i put a new muffler on. i lowered it a little too much, the front spoiler is 5 inches from the ground, i'm going to lift it back up a quarter inch. It's not sitting on the bump stops, but if i go over any big bumps in the road it bottoms out hard.

i wouldn't mind putting stiffer springs on it though

also... have a set of new taillights because the rights side was cracked from a hit and run... I'm going to be painting the corners red. What do you guys think about the black part in the middle of the taillights? Yay or Nay?
