first snowfall of the season & also picking up my Alpina's tomorrow from my local powdercoater. I was going back/forth on color & finish, and I'm hoping the 'Porsche Silver" w/ semi-gloss clear comes close to the original.

Looks right at home! Love the roof rack. Are you concerned about moisture/salt under the bra though?

Had our IX out this weekend too after all day snow. These cars are in their element with the white stuff!

And those Alpinas ... On an IX! they're perfect

Thanks bud! I'm not too concerned about the moisture/salt. Its really only on there for the winter to avoid the road debris that my poor car endures daily (100mi hway commute). Its on there really really snug, so I doubt anything really gets trapped in there much.....i'm more worried about the caked on salt that kicks up into my wheel wells & undercarriage.

I hope i picked the right finish for the Alpinas....i will find out this wkend

yeah i was never really a fan of splash guards either. The salt will find its' way to rot the car eventually w/ or w/o splash guards....its' inevitable.

washed, and put the M3 away for the winter.

                            Alpina steering wheel in transit

Rear wheel bearing replaced, swapped front/rear diff & tranny fluids, & tightened down the oil filter housing that was really loose (was gushing oil from there).

eventually i'm going to chop off those fugly Remus exhaust tips & weld shorter smaller ones. I cringe every time i look at it. lol

                                it's an E46 M3 ('05)....i see you have one yourself ;D

I'm very happy w/ the Bav Auto one. It fits like a glove, and has clip on security straps front and rear (underneath). When I was condo living, it worked well keeping the cover from flying off in the wind. Its also thin & breathable so rain water doesn't get trapped in

I'm running Michelin x-ice xi2's on the E30. I've used Blizzaks & General Altima Artic's in the past, and these outperform both. One thing i love about the Michelin's is in sub-degree temps, the tires still grip VERY well unlike others I've used. In the last couple snow storms, not once did the car get 'squirrely' on me.

I would love a Stromung but pricey...actually Rogue engineering sells one for the M20, and the fit and finish is spot on which I've seen in person. Priced well too, but they don't have it listed on their site.
