did you ever have issues like mine with your build? as i recall all you had problems with was detonation yes?

I had to bump up to 46lb Ford Lightning injectors (lime green tops) when I upped boost past 8psi. Duty cycle on my 30ish lb Volvo injectors was like 90% @ 8psi.

How close to getting stand alone are you? You NEED it badly. But I'm sure you are aware of that. Save the money for the RRFPR because with standalone it's not needed. At least not with MS it's not.

I'm running the same injectors as Schnitzer, I think. Lime green Bosch-style Ford Racing injectors. Got 4 brand new for $120 on ebay, and all of the Ford Racing ones are flow-matched. They were advertised at 43 lb/hr for what that's worth. From my data logs, I think the 19lb 4-pintle injectors that I had in there before were running around 75-80% duty cycle at redline and WOT, so I don't know how you'd even be able to get enough out of them to run in boost.

Are you running a wideband or O2 sensor at all right now? You really need to get one in there to see what's going on if you aren't. And timing could cause some of the issue, but it wouldn't cause the car to completely cut power. It would just surge/ping/detonate/feel weak depending on the situation. Motronic shouldn't be able to alter timing enough to cause the engine not to run, although I guess I could be wrong on that.

They're guys on m42club running 12psi on stock motronic, just a chip, no detonation at all. They do have HYOOGE injectors though.

That's because the chip did the tuning for them...

Anyway, they're probably washing down their cylinder walls from running so rich which is no bueno.

Been torn between S52 or Turbo M42 or MM Rally M42, this sealed the deal. Time to build myself a M42 turbo. Glad my motor is fresh

swapped the 30lb injectors... problems gone away. damn thing was just too lean. no more driving for now until i get some good management which might be longer than expected considering what I want is about 1300 bucks, plus dyno time and race pack.

whatever, itll happen. oh yea and also my rack decided to take a shit. time for e36 rack swap. anyone have one in good shape pm me.

next time you have the intake manifold off you should yank out that throttle body heater...

Have you thought about a COP? So you could get rid of those coils.

COP is nice, but for $200 with much of a strict budget, it's kind of an unnecessary expense. It doesn't really help performance at all.

DJ, are you getting enough cooling capacity with that fan, without a shroud? I'm trying to make a lower-profile shroud and mounts for my electric fan, but it would be a lot cleaner if I can just mount it like that...

BTW I have a good e36 rack. PM me if you are interested. $125 + shipping, obo.
