    The white dove has landed

400 dollar non runner. I got it from a gay guy in frogtown. 171k on it..... 1986 535i auto. at 100k someone overheated it so bad they melted the timing rails and egg shaped the cylinders so a 7k dollar BMW long block was installed. Its got a fat stack of receipts. I paid 400 for it and the gay dude used his aaa to tow it free. a main relay and fuel pump relay later and it fired up and runs awesome.. Its got issues but they appear to be minor. Nothing works. Blower motor is intermittent, tach and speedo dont work. But all the windows and seats work. Its got some minor rust on the bottoms of the doors. It was in Hawaii and then Calif till 2000 when it was sent up here to begin rusting. It has a really nice cream leather interior with crack free dash. Tires are shit
Im going to drive it a week and assess it and then decide whether I should throw some money at it. I want to be sure the tranny is good. It feels fine but kind of crude and clunky. It doesnt appear to slip though
