Filthy car, Nu Shuz... Update 2nd page with interior shots
I like'em too... but the roads in PR are a little abusive with slammed cars. So I bought 17's to raise the car a little and stop crying everytime I pass 6 speedbumps just to get to my house

Listen, cause you guys need to get this right... 17's do NOT raise your car up at all, unless you're running oversized tires.
What size were your previous wheels AND tires and what size are your 17s AND tires.
Stock 14 inch tire size was 195/65R14. What size are you running with your 17s? If you want to be super technical, a 215/40R17 (what most people run) is actually a little smaller diameter than stock. The overall diameter is 0.2 inches smaller, which actually lowers your car 0.1 inche, which doesn't matter. A 205/45R17 is ever-so-slightly larger than the original 14 inch size. Overal diameter is 0.3 inch larger.
What I'm saying is that both those two 17 inch sizes are more or less exactly the same as stock and will not noticeably raise or lower your car.
well, the car feels higher, because I don't scratch that much on speedbumps, I'm runninr 205/40 in front and 225/45 in rear... I've felt a difference in height when passing over speedbumps

Your front tire is undersized, so the very front of your car is actually lower to the ground now. However the rear of your car is oversized, so it is raised up a little. I would really recommend getting some tires that match. Your rear tires are wider AND the sidewall is larger while the fronts are narrower AND the sidewall is smaller. If you're dying to run staggered widths, you'll be better off with 205/45 front and 215/40 rear.
did you fall backwards on your front wing? hzpened to me; lost balance gting up from working and duiidf the exact same bump :( ( got changed since lol)

I experienced the same thing when I went from 14s to 16s.
I understand the overall diameter should stay the same, and in fact, the overall diameter was 0.6% smaller when I switched to the 16s.
205/65/14 -> 205/50/16
Ever since the switch, I never scrape anymore, surprisingly enough. I think it might have something to do with the alignment, and wheel:rubber ratio or something. Or maybe I'm just pulling the justifications out of my ass. But, what truely is fact, is that I don't scrape anymore after the wheel change.

Nah, someone did that while I was at the mall. I don't know how...

I'm just back from the road and I haven't scraped in speedbumps, so I'm going to stay for a while with this wheels, till I find some nicer 17" rims
