    My new "summer beater" :)

Got sick of driving a Honda for the winter, but I really want to build by euro right, so I decided to buy another e30 to drive for the summer, put all the goodies I bought for my euro on it, and enjoy the hell out of it :)

Here are the seller's pics - more of my own this week.

Pros: It's a henna 86 ES. :) ES dam UNCRACKED...very few chips even. Same with fogs - though they aren't wired right...gotta look at that.

Was babied its entire life by a female enthusiast who apparently tracked the car (according to the second owner.) TMS chip, Mtech 1 wheel, a near mint houndstooth cloth interior, and a generally clean car are among its accolades.

Everything works. Kind of rare in an e30 :) especially for what I paid...

Cons: Spots of rust. The fuel filler door is gone, but all around it is perfectly clean. Time for a new henna door...

Driver's fender dogleg is gone. Looks to be the only thing damaged by the rust, but I'll have to examine further.

Weld seams just after the fenders on the rockers are getting rusty. Thinking of sanding it and going flat black on the rockers. Easier than matching the henna.

Small spots of roof rust. Annoying.

Good score, man. Looks like you got a nice little DD there. I don't think I've ever seen a Henna eS.

Aside from that, It amazes me how much ligher of a color the dashboards in earlier cars are. We took the dash from a 318iS i just got and held it up against my current one, and it's MUCH darker than mine. I can't wait to get it in. I'll probably end up painting my center consoles to match, with the stuff I used on the center part of my M-Tech II, which came out great, and coindidentally, matches the 318iS dash perfectly. :D

That's a great daily. Too bad you got too many interiors now. Can't wait to see more pics.

The 86 and I believe the 87 325eS came with bottlecaps.

Is this the car with the rusted out floor pans and blown headgasket?

I'm colorblind, but my buddy who went with me to buy the car said he read henna under the hood for the paint tag. I never got a chance to look at it...maybe I should double check :)
