The movie got me into them too so don't feel bad, but I was also brought up around muscle cars so I was able to break out of the FnF ricer phase pretty damn quick.

I'm a fan of the mind train myself. Its technically what I'm running on the e30. Lol
There was a movie in the early 90s with corey feldman where he was a bank rober and he had a red FD. That's where my rx-7 love sprouted. My first car was an 85 12a unfortuneately. Handled great but man that thing was slow and hard to work on.Last edited by einstein57; 12-15-2010, 12:28 PM.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

I have to admit, my love for the FD came out of the original Gran Turismo game. I had a 'race modded' one that was a favorite back in my Play Station days. From that point on and to this day, I have told myself that I will have one. It is one of the few JDM cars that are on my list.Comment

Speaking of rotory, I just got done with a street ported, single turbo, s5 rotory powered ae86. I didn't do the swap but I fabbed up the whole front v mounted radiator, intercooler, radiator support, and front subrframe. Front end is pretty much bullet proof. I'm going to be pulling the engine and fab up a new subframe for him because whoever did it originally did not know how to weld. It's a buddy of mine and he'll prolly bring his car to the dockweiler meet along with mine.

It is streetported already, had to cheat emissions bigtime :P heres a pic from when the engine was assembled, i hope it still looks this good when I refresh it :/

as for the E30, I think a satin black $50 roller paint job with gloss black accents is in order, can always paint it nice later, have auto body finishing equipment but no time or room currently.1991 325i - "Scambles" The Daily Driven lightly modded.

I love the FD rx-7s, yours is very sexy!
that E30 looks pretty nice for 1k, nice pick up! as for the paint id say just leave it till you can do a decent real paint job. roller black/rattle can will make it a much harder job later to prep for a real paintjob. but you should definately paint all the trims/mouldings back to black.
also, someone here may be able to run your VIN for your option list so you can see if it was a real iS, just post it upComment
