    i mounted mine this way...if you use some 3M molding tape it'll be very secure.

    tire rack reviews.. hahahaha.

    I had 2 sets of them, I'd still be using them if 15" hadn't been discontinued. fantastic rain tire, good treadwear, and pretty darn good dry traction too. I guess they get noisy when they get old, but that's never bothered me. it's a perfect 3 season street tire for the PNW.

    I would drill the holes over tape. Trunk lids are a dime a dozen, if you messed up or wanted to go back you can just replace the lid.
