[QUOTE=bernzpeed;2989179]Engine is from a 93 525i Vanos. It still has the VIN on it.
I know that it's only 90 hp more than the M20 but it's 90 more hp than the M20.

Just wanted to correct this , even tho you now are s5x

m50 is only a 20hp gain over the m20 :D. Great thread! very detailed work!

    needs more low :hitler:

No progress yet since I've been out of town a lot. Also the engine harness was sent out to have it rewired. Picking it up tomorrow and then work can restart. Will post more photos soon.

Wow, I didn't realize my thread had died. Hahaha! I've been procrastinating on all my projects and have been really super busy.

If not for Gary showing serious interest on my low mileage M20, I probably would have procrastinated on my swap.

Last Sunday, the M20 came out without any hitch (as expected). Cleaned the engine bay a little bit and installed the ix booster, master and slave cylinder, pedals and swapped out the dash for a better looking one.

In a matter of two days, a lot of work has been put in. I feel accomplished. The slush box is finally gone.

Nothing fancy but a little cleaner.

    What a mess?

Let's make it official, the engine bay shot.

    I haz 3 pedals.

    Dylaaaaaaaan!

Getting ready to get in her home.

    Slightly wrong angle I think

All hands on deck and then this....

    Mmmmmmmmmmm Power!

i have to paint the door to remove the scratches on it in case you didn't see it. honestly the whole car needs to be repainted but I wanted to practice on it first.

just did. pretty thorough work you did there. if you don't mind me asking what was your secret to getting it to a perfect color match. Didn't seem you blended the door or the trunk
