I heard this car had an M52 w/s52 cams... was the motor swapped again before it sold?

Well unless the previous owner/builder flat out lied to me its an S52,not being up to speed on how to tell which engine it is I have no choice but believe what I'm told.

Thanks for the compliments guys,blue deveil the car was only outside long enough to take those pics then back onto the heated floor in the shop where it will stay untill at least the end of April.

Nice pick up! Love those ACS wheels! What brand coils is it on/how much are you selling them for?

The wheels are 16x7.5 and I don't know the offset off the top of my head.After the M52 comment last night I did a quick google for a comparison between the M and S engine for identification.The easiest way I found was the oil filter housing,M having a black plastic screw on cover and the S using an aluminum housing and bolt on cover.
I couldn't go to bed without knowing(it was close to 2am when I found the info)so I checked and it is an S52-I feel better now.:)

I don't know what coilover parts where used,its way too low to see under it.Just started to clay bar and detail the exterior,once thats complete I'll move onto the mechanical/electrical bits.Once I have the car up in the air I can confirm the parts,pretty sure I'll sell it complete with the bilstein sports that aren't very old.

If you take it to the dyno it'll explain everything. Just has a metal oil filter housing and S52 engine cover. Even M50's (325 motor) have a metal oil filter housing. They're all interchangeable.

Dynoed 175whp last time I saw it at the dyno. S52's dyno 200-215whp.


But some S52 cams will bring the power up. It's probably quick enough as it is with an M52 anyway.

That sucks man... were you given a dyno sheet at least?

Easy way to check it would be stick a long screwdriver down the spark plug hole and measure how much it moves (for a rough guess). M52s have 84mm stroke, and S52 has ~89mm IIRC.

Your car is gorgeous! What size tires are you running?

The car is sitting on 215-45-16's,I'd like to go to 225-45's but thats not such a common size and 225-50's seem too tall.

The car is still nice,its quick as is but I guess I just have to change my plans a bit to get the power level I thought it had already.
