Thanks,I go about 240lbs right now and I've been a carpenter for over 20 years-trust me he's lucky I'm about 3 hours away, over 40 and MUCH MUCH calmer than my youth.
Really a road trip will just result in an assault charge and I'll still not have the engine I was told I bought so whats the point. He's got to live with the fact he's a douchbag and I'll make sure more people know to avoid dealing with him.

Thanks craz azn,its been confirmed that I was duped by a lying bastard(if anyone wants the name and # of the guy I have no problem passing it along,he's in mississauga and opening a shop-just pm me and I'll give the details.)

The car is still nice, its quick as is but I guess I just have to change my plans a bit to get the power level I thought it had already.
Bfg kdw2's come in that size, they are a great summer tire with a decent tread life. Its what i rock ;)

Sucks to hear about being lied to. The car looks great, though! And I have an m42 if that makes you feel any better. Are you on NASIOC by any chance?

The kdw is on the short list(short mostly because there's only a handfull of tires made in that size:)),how noisy do you find the tire btw-thats one of the complaints I've read in the reviews.

SimplyDope,no I'm not on NASIOC but I'm slowly gathering a knowledge base of these cars to draw from.

I just realized what forum nasioc was all about, sorry but I hate my imprezza with a passion I've not felt for any other vehicle ever and I've owned well over 30.
Hence the E30,I need to get some driving pleasure from a vehicle other than the race stuff and the subaru is so antifun its sickening.

I had the KDW's on my last car and did not notice any noise from them although they wer 255/55/18.

No noticeable noise. they are about 1/2 worn and had them for about 2 years. Dont get to drive it much. As long as you keep them rotated from cupping there shouldn't be a problem at all.

Ive seen them cheaper though but thats only once in a great while. I had rs'2 before that, they are a 200 tread wear vs the bfg's 300 tread ware and i believe that the bfg's would beat the rs2 in every category.

To the OP, the best way you could handle the situation would be to take the seller to small claims court, or the equivalent in the states. I'm sure at that point he would be forced into compensating you in one form or another.

Considering he's starting a business soon, i'm sure he'd be willing to settle the matter outside of court rather than let the issue drag out for months.

Thanks for the tire reviews, its welcome for sure.

As for taking the guy to court,I'd have to PROVE what he told me and then I'd have to establish what the car is worth with the M52 swap versus the S52 swap.Sounds like I'd also need to get a car nut for a judge to have any shot at being worth it at all.

Moar pics of what?,bimmer is resting quietly in the heated shop while I find time to finish the clay baring I started.I ice race cars as well and the season starts this saturday, keeps me busy for the next 6 weeks.

I received infomation regarding the engine from the fellow that built it,its an M52 with S50 cams so its a retune away from being right around 220rwhp.
Saves me pulling the cover to inspect what cams were installed,I'm looking forward to getting it ready to drive come spring.;)
