I hear ya. M50 is a good motor for sure, but I needed a lighter and more responsive powerplant.

M50 swap was a little too common/simple for what I wanted to do.

Rad is from the junkyard. From a Volvo 740 turbo. Aluminum 3 row. Compact, and was only 35 bucks. I have a slimline puller fan.

Ahh, good stuff... I was looking into getting a mishimoto for an e36, but that sounds like a great budget option.

Wiring wasnt bad really, just lots of soldering. There is tons of harness diagrams/wire color breakdowns on the internet. If your not into it you can buy a standalone nissan harness from McKinney Motorsports. Its all labeled, trimmed and ready to go.

Im a DIY guy, so I just sat down with it for a few days and took out all the stuff that isnt necessary for my application. It uses four wires to run. Positive Constant, positive switched, start signal, and temp input.

Engine mounts and trans mounts are solid.

Liquid to air is bit more work, but it works so well, it's worth extra effort.

Just bought a new Borg Warner EFR 6258, top mount manifold and went to 264 cams. MOAR PoWeR!

how far off were the sr's motor mounts from the stock e30's? did you build the mounts if not who did and for how much?

did you have to move the brake booster or move to manual brakes or was the stock one ok and fit?

are you using the e30 gauge cluster?

did you have to bang out the firewall at all?

Sick build man! Im planning an rb26 swap, twin Borg Warner s600 turbos and so on. We'll see how it goes when Im not broke. But again, props on the build.

all depends where you want the motor to sit. Got the mounts already made, and no he wont make more.

I used the booster from a 2002ti. The e30 master fit. Had to extend the pushrod and modify the pedal arm.

Fuel gauge and speedo are all I am using.

Firewall was fine, tons of room
