E46 to E30... downgrade or upgrade?

From 2000 323Ci to 1991 325is.
E46 had: H&R race springs and shocks, powerflex bushings all around, 19" VMR V710 matte black, 18" OEM style 32, 5 speed, Tannin red leather, and a whopping 170 hp
E30 has: Tokico springs and struts, powerflex control arm bushings, 15" OZs, no rust, autotragic, and blown piston rings.

feels like an upgrade to me. i was in the same position, the e46 market is clearly saturated to the same levels of e36s. i didnt want to deal with the headaches of the e92 so i decided to deal with the sexy headaches of the e30 instead

Grab the m52/54 from the e46 and put it in the e30, you will soon see that it is not a downgrade.

In your case, downgrade. Other than those black wheels, nice e46. I had a e46 for a few months and although it was a nice car, I felt like it was not gonna last much longer...it did have 166k and an auto. Even still, i want another one with lower miles and a manual. That is a nice e30!
