Here it is ladies and gentlemen! My new car! Need some new floor mats, missing a light cover, and some work with the leather seats, but I think it's beautiful and I love it :)

Nice! Lower it and throw some euro bumpers on it and you'll be golden.

      Looks like an awesome start!
      Hows the maintenance history?
Plan on doing a plastic bumper swap?

Maintenance history is good. I have records all the way back to the original owner (I'm the fourth one). I bought it with new clutch, new timing belt/water pump, new AC, and rewired stereo. Since then, I've replaced front control arm bushings/ball joints, back left wheel bearing, radiator, oil pan, tires, and hoses (Combination of local Euro shop and my own work). Keep our fingers crossed it keeps running well!

Any suggestions on what to do next? I'd like to try dying the seats or doing something to correct all the crack marks. And where can I get nice floor mats? Standard ones don't seem to fit and I'm not sure I wanna pay outrageous prices for BMW ones. As far as mechanical improvements, the car seems to be running well right now (and it damn well should after all the stuff I've done to it).

Nice car. Maybe a slight drop but a nice clean OEM car is a real find. I wouldnt stray too far from what you got.

                    Get you mats here.

Thank you for the mats link (it's not actually as expensive as I would have guessed)!

For the seats, you could get some black leather dye and just go over the cracks lightly. I would try cleaning them very well and letting a liberal amount of conditioner soak in. I just worry about dyes/rub ins on seats. I don't want it coming off on my clothes.

                            1) You have the getting to be ubber rare '87 IS front valance. You can't fit euro bumpers on it and keep that front valance.

                            2) The rear skirt is an aftermarket one (I believe). Need more pics to tell which one.

                            3) Yep, clean the seat REALLY well, then you can dye them. That will hide the small cracks.

                            4) It's a BEAUTIFUL car, don't stray to far away from the original look and you'll have an amazing car in the end.. Well, it's pretty amazing now actually.
