Kit cars like an Ultima GTR or this
      Lola
have pretty insane power to weight ratios. Things can happen pretty quick in these cars, good or bad. With that said, it's pretty irresponsible to do a hack job, for the drivers sake, and the sake of everyone else sharing the road with you.

I know it's cool that your daddy got a toy, but honestly save some face: don't take r3v as the end-all automotive tech source.

btw: Lolas weren't the only open wheel car to use double wishbones. Either show some pics of a believable Lola chassis stamping, or stop taking a massive dump on the Lola name every time you mention your dad's bizarro V8 hack.
San Diego BMW repair -> Jake @ www.littlecarshop.com Great guy

        sweet

i think I will let me kids wrench on my cars when i have them (say 20 years from now, but who knows if you will need wrenches)

If tooling on cars is as fun as i think it is, then why not allow your heir to have fun too. besides it helps them not become dumbasses that have to have a shop fix a burned out tail light.

Im not doing a hack job on anything. Do you think i would feel comfortable taking it on the freeway if i did a poor job putting it together?

I haven’t taken the entire body off but i dont know if their is a chassis plate. The car was built in the early 70's by some engineers for nasa. The title says Lola as the make. If you dont believe that its not a real indy car then i dont care. If it never was a real indy car then i dont care. It doesn’t change the way it looks, accelerates, turns, or drives.
