    1989 325iS Bronzzit: NUGG3T

After driving a 1993 Ford Ranger for my first car, I finally came across a local guy selling his bronzit e30 for 3K! I went to check out the car and immidietly fell inlove. I bought the car in March of last year and drove it for a couple months when i was at school in LA. This is how it sat:

In October of last year i hit a bridge directly front on and this is the damage:

So i collected my sorrows, and after looking at my reciepts to the work that had been done to the car i decided on fixing it, and do whatever needed to be done to have my bronzit back. I had a couple different mechanic and body shops look at the car and i got the go ahead that the engine is fine, i will just have a lot of parts to replace.

Heres a sort list of what has been done when i bought the car last year:

    1989 BMW 325iS
    Bronzit Exterior with Beige Interior
    215,xxx miles on the motor
    Crack free dashboard
I believe I am the third owner

With in the past 5000 miles I have done all of the following work:
Bilstein Sport Shocks and Struts (Spec E30 Valved)
    H&R Race Springs
    OEM Front Strut Mounts
    OEM Rear Shock Mounts
    Euro Projectors with 4500k HID
    Euro Tail Lights
    Shadowlined Trim
    Timing Belt
    TB Roller/Adjuster Pulley
    New Oil Cooler gaskets
    Valve Cover Gasket
Oil filter and Oil change (just done)
Spark Plugs (Wires were done about 10k ago)
    Distributor Cap
    Ignition Rotor
    Drive Belts
    Water Pump
    Thermostat
    Radiator
    Coolant Hoses
    Oxygen Sensor
    Crankshaft Sensor
    Intake Boots
    Air Filter
    Intake Manifold Gaskets
    Exhaust Gaskets
    Front Brembo Performance rotors
    Front Jurid Performance pads
    4 New Nexen tires
    OEM Weighted Shift Knob
JVC Head unit with Ipod hook up (new speakers also)

About 2 months ago i picked up a second bronzit e30 rolling shell and some parts;oil pan, fan, oil cooler, etc. from the same guy i bought my first e30 from for 200$!!!!

Me and my dad wasted no time getting the wrecked parts off my car, and the parts we would need from the second car.

We cut the core support off the second e30 and it is currently in the hands of John at Anacapa Auto Body who will be welding it onto my car for me.

It has already been 6 months since i wrecked my baby, so things are moving pretty slowly. As of now i am just waiting to hear back from the body shop so I can get the core support welded onto my car. After i get the car back with the new core support me and my dad will find and replace all the parts.

I have big plans for the car as soon as i have it running again, stay tuned

Check out my parts for sale!

Wow, most would have givin up on that first one and just buy a new, RUNNING, car. Nice that you and you Pops are involved.

On a side note...Whats the deal with all the Bronzits lately! They are attacking R3v. :)

Holy crap, that front end was so straight before the crash!!

Good work bringing it back to life, though I would honestly just swap everything to the seemingly undamaged shell

Regardless, Good luck and Godspeed

        Also Bronzit FTW ;)

How did you hit a bridge? Did it jump out in front of you or something?

it was wet, i was home from college for the weekend and botched a right hand turn that went into one lane. and yeah, i was originally going to swap everything into the second shell, but it would have ended up being more work believe it or not.

sorry for making some sad, but you guys will be very happy to see it when im finished

                        LMFAO

I see a lot of E30 being crashed. Instead of upgrading your cars to more powerful engines, maybe you should start upgrading the brakes and fixing the nut behind the wheel.
