x2 that's a ton of REALLY nice cars.
I don't own a Probe, but I've driven them and gotta come to its defense. Sure they're not BMWs, but as the PO said, they're nice cars in a lot of ways. Quick, wonderful sounding V6, good handling. I even think they can be made to look pretty good. Only real downside for me is the interior is pretty ugly. Especially the steering wheels!
That strategy did work well for over 2 years, but the special insurance policy on my M3 meant I could never take it to work, so I wasn't able to enjoy a car that drives very well much at all even in nice weather... and it eventually wore me down having come from the 325iS. I wound rethinking my decision and realized I would be happier with something like the 320i I eventually bought while not spending much more money overall over the Probe GT - I just have to keep the 320i maintained but not fix it up too much cosmetically so it stays on beater duty.
Once you're able to appreciate a BMW of this vintage it's hard to go back to driving something less satisfying - especially when these cars can be had so cheaply now.
I hadn't seen an opportunity like this one for an E30 M3 for YEARS.
Yep.
Thanks for the welcome and comments everyone! :)Last edited by Shock(/\)ave; 03-28-2011, 08:59 AM.

Very nice collection! I recall seeing a Probe GT slammed on some BBS RS a year or two ago and it looked amazing. My roommate in college had one and I have to admit, it was a decent car.
Congrats on owning some of your dream cars. Any other aspirations of cars yet to own?Comment
