Wow... noob. Im not even going to get into the irony of you calling me that... But btw, its "your". You see, saying "you're" is the same as saying "you are". And I, good sir, am most certainly not a thread.

And yes, Im about to just take the adjusters out of the front, see how it rides on just the perch. But that seems uber-sketchy.

Why is that uber sketchy? All the adjuster is doing is acting as the perch when you have it spun up.

But will the smaller spring fit flat? I guess it is no narrower than the adjuster, that is true.

              I get that part.

Honestly, will taking the 1/8" adjuster out really make your front end lower? Just cut the perch off and have it welded up.

Oh, im going to get it welded. Its just going to take a lil while, and the fact that I still have insane amounts of reverse rake is killing me haha

about how low can you weld the perch before you need shortened struts though?

ive always found that a little torch to the female part will expand it enough that savage beatings arent required. you dont have to get it red hot either, just a couple of minutes all the way around and youre good. (generally) i dont have one of those handy tools so i just use a fatty chisel i have and wedge that in there.

ive done this on my subaru too with success.

Are you using a pickle fork? If not, why not try that.

if you use a pickle fork or torch, that will ruin your ball joint and you will need to press in a new one, and trust me, that is a PITA. Try one of these first: (pic is NOT an E30)

o god this thread is so full of fail -partly because of some thread jacking.

please save it with getting those coilovers to sit right/get rid of the fender gap and mounting those 15x9s!!! Lots of potential with your car!
