So I bought my dads 318i off of him which had been sittin in the garage for awhile. I've been lurking on the site for awhile and it finally got the best of me. Its got 196k on it and runs like a champ. Just put in a new timing belt, ac compressor, condensor, heater core, rack & pinion, and brakes. Hoping to pick up some H&R Sports and some Bilsteins, along with a new front windshield because mines really pitted. Other than that I want to keep her clean and on the road.

Had the car a few weeks and figured I would post up what I've done so far. I had the purpled tint stripped out and some 3m 35% put on all the way around. I also decided I'm not going to lower the car, so I decided to just replace the front struts with some Sachs OEM ones. I replaced the factory intake boot too, since it was cracked from 20 years plus of whatever. Next on my list is to degrease and clean up the engine bay, front swaybar upgrade, and repaint my bottlecaps. Loving the car so far!

Sounds good.
What influenced you in your decision to not lower the car?
