This car is up and running great. I was behind him on the on ramp for about 4 seconds...then it was as if he had disappeared into the horizon

He definitely did. I was told the engine had a blown head gasket. Turned out to be a cracked head. Coolant had been mixing in the oil so long that it destroyed the bearings and crank itself. Pretty shitty since the seller is supposed to be a big time mechanic in PA. Sooooo I ended up doing a full rebuild on a 10,000 mile engine.

ARP rod bolts
Port/polished 885 head
Reground turbo cam
IE heavy duty rockers
ARP head studs
Thick OEM BMW headgasket
Turbo!!!
