Well it was no big deal on the drive, we had fun on the way back. He did not have the temp sensor hook up anyways.

Temp sensor should be hooked up and fine... I drove it with that motor for a full oil change interval... temp gauge worked fine until I took her out of the garage within these last few weeks to sell her - so not sure what you mean by it wasn't hooked up?

I drive e30's without fans (hell, i've even tracked one without a fan) but I don't drive them without temp gauges. A temporary drive is one thing without one but to dd it without a gauge is asking for trouble you kno?

The engine was bone dry of coolant. So that was the issue.

Also Mike, you didnt tell me you had a skid plate. How about you send the French lows and Ill pay the shipping for it. Trying to milk everything out of me. Also the hood it not the original paint. A lot surprises coming up.

If it was low on coolant it's because it boiled over while you sat in traffic. It was at an acceptable level before you picked it up - you can see right through the m42 resevoir it can't be missed.

I never mentioned a skid plate in the ad or any of the emails - so me selling it now is neither wrong nor unethical. If you want to talk unethical, how about how I made a verbal deal with you, no deposit in hand - and even though I had a local offer for $1000 MORE than what I sold it to you for I kept my word, held the car, and sold it to you.... then not one day later you try to sell it for a profit to said local offer.

Regarding the hood paint, like I told you as far as I knew it was original paint. I'm not nor claim to be a body guy, no one's ever told me it was or appeared repainted, and the vehicle hadn't been in any fender benders or accidents as far as I knew so I had no reason to believe otherwise.


I've sold a bunch of parts, handful of cars, and who knows what else on this and other forums and never had any serious issues. There's a reason people put in a good word for me, and it's not because people are left unhappy when doing business with me. What reason would I have to bone you on a car sale if don't plan on disappearing from the car forums forever? I obviously had parts to sell (wheel, fogs, etc) so why risk a good reputation now? Right, it doesn't make sense. You know what I know, and if anything pops up then it's just the pains and risks associated with buying a used car, simple as that.


Anyway, I'm done in this thread. At this point if you have any questions or issues about how things were done, what parts were used or how something was put together, you can seek the 24v help section - don't bother pm'ing me or asking me if it's the attitude you're going to have.

I didn't say in my post that I was not blaming you for none of this stuff. I wanted a skid plate, looking for one now. I was just mentioning the hood. I didn't say " oh Mike did not tell me the hood was not original". As far my ethics, said local offer. I was leaving my m-tech 2 and transporting to him. Was not making money on the car. You are a cool person, what can I expect from a 20 year car that has transfered hands more than 3 times. I was going to call you today to ask some question. The coolant problem is fixed, its really no big deal. Let me know how much you want to sell the french lows for shipped? If you do not want deal with me anymore, that is cool too. I am not going to beg anyone, after all this is business anyways.
