When you said you have the adjusters spun all the way down and would like to lower it 1/2" more, you described the same situation I am in.

My adjusters are all the way down and after speaking to GC they said I was sitting on the bumpstops, that is why I mentioned it. I didn't think of cutting 2/3 of the bumpstop away to see if it would improve the ride.

When you said you trimmed the bumpstops was that referring to the front or rear?

if I were you I wouldn't raise the rear anymore and leave it how it sits. In my opinion e30's need big meaty tires and aggressive offsets to pull off foward rake. Granted, you do have a little rake but not much. Your car is just looks too damn classy for it and deserves that classic BMW stance. just my thoughts tho. your car, lol.

I could definitely go for another 1/2" drop in the front, no doubt. At this point though it would require a lot more work, either carefully cutting off and re-welding the perch or buying another set of strut tubes, transferring over my new wheel bearings and buying new GC perches to weld on again.

Very nice, but how much lower is this set up compared to your previous one?

Agree with slightly highering the rear. Awesome car!

I'm thinking I may bring the rear up 1/2" so the gaps match front and rear... thoughts?

Very easy. Remove the shock from the strut, use a hammer & chisel to separate the aluminum cap on the bottom of the shock from the yellow tube (the yellow tube is merely a dust cover, the actual shock is fully self-contained inside of the tube and won't be damaged in any way). You'll see the bumpstops just chillin' there, remove however much you want. I took out 2 of the 3 sections.
