    I have no idea about iX inserts, but I wouldn't dare cut the strut tubes with off-the-shelf bilstien sports. Thy can't handle it.

    I didn't cut them at all.

    I would leave the rear as is or even lower it a bit. The low rear arches are one of the things that makes e30s what they are, embrace it :) I personally think it looks wrong to have huge amounts of rake, there's a happy middle ground in there somewhere.

    Nice write up. Car looks sweet. I just ordered my gc kit. I have a set of bilstien sports with h&r races on the car currently. but I am going to put konis on with the gc coilover kit hopefully to make it a stiffer ride and more low. I went with 450 front 750 rear rates.

    Thanks for the tip and I wish I knew of it 6 months ago before I sent some Bilsteins out to be shortened and revalved.

    I'm hoping to get them back one of these days :(
