My new DD (Red) with new wheels.

Just bought her from my friend a little over a month ago. She's a 91 325i sedan autotragic. Came with a broken odometer that read 200k. Replace it with a working one so now it reads 101k. :D. I know, i know, please do not give me a hard time about it. Going to keep her until she gives up. Just put on some Hartge Type A 16x7.5 (Thanks again Phillip!) that I got last week.

    Stuff done:
Tune-up (still need to do O2 sensor. hopefully get better gas mileage)
    ellipsoids headlights
Mtech 1 steering wheel (removed airbag)

    Plans:
are a drop (gc and shocks) (anybody have some 2.5" top spring perches for sale?)
    brakes
and just maintenance to keep her running a long time.

The hood practically does not have any clear coat. Paint is faded and not going to pay money for a new paint job. Was planning to just rattle can it with flat black. What do you guys think/ recommend? Thanks in advance

Calypso deserves a proper hood repaint.

Please don't flat black that car. I never ever thought that flat blacked cars looked good. Still don't. Stay classy.

sand all the clear coat down to the paint, then reclear it yourself with rattle cans. as ripply as it might turn out, it will be 100% better than black.

fix that front valance. and if you really wont pay for new paint on the hood. get a nice black hood- not a rattle canned hood. looks a whole lot better

you could always just repaint the hood even not calypso... i was thinking of getging a spare hood to sand down and paint with chalkboard paint just because i like the idea of it. or look for a calypso hood, but gl with that haha, this would be a shame to respray with rattle cans in flat black :/

Dude, no need to half ass such an E30. It has loads of potential! That is my ideal combo btw- sedan/calypso is the ultimate score. :hitler:

                          Listen man.

                          Go to Paintscratch.com
Have them send you 3 cans of custom mix OEM paint in a spray can in ONE STAGE. Take the hood off the car. Sit it on stands or trash cans. Prep the hood well, sand evenly and wipe with mineral spirits, and finish with tach cloth. Respray the hood. Polish with wheel. Done. OEM'ish look from a spray can.

                            ditto on paintscratch

or CF vinyl which you could always pull of for a proper repaint later.

get the 3M Di-noc off ebay.
