I usually use it to charge my phone, which I also use as an iPod and rest in the front console nook. Seemed the most logical place for my needs without having wires draped all over.

i like the idea but in the wrong location. seems like it would interfere with both driver and passenger's legs.

I can't hit it unless I pull my right leg WAY back into the thigh support and try to hit it. The placement is deceiving; it's totally out of the way.
