    It's a corner marker for the driver to see exactly where the corner of his bumper is. I'm used to seeing them on semi trucks, not e30's, though.

    I have two e30's. They both reside all the way at the end of the shop, under covers, past the third bay lift. :(

    ....something about shoe maker's shoes comes to mind....
