Engine bay is extremly dirty, havent had the will to clean anything yet. Motor runs but I need new injectors, 6 m50 units on the way.

Engine is 87 eta (short block) eta head with porting, 274 cam, dual valve springs, but still have eta valves. 9.0:1 compression, Motronic 1.1 153 ecu. 2.93 rear.

You can see the wires I spliced from the c104 to c101. The white wire is going to injectors 135. For some reason they weren't working through the harness so I hard wired them. Ive got to tie up all the loose ends before its road worthy though. I've got b25 valve cover going on soon as well.

Sorry for large pics didnt feel like resizing. Big thanks to ely for all his help.

      Thanks, I am too.

I would feel better running it to a max of 6k probably, although I'm sure it would be okay to 6700. The botton end has a lot of miles on it.

haha.. yea man. We'll have to have a mini meet here sometime soon. I've got to get my car all cleaned up again, it looks like crap.

Dont know if mikey is going e30 or not, the civic's transmission is on its last leg!

Now you just have to get rid of that 2.93 to really reap the benefits. A 3.46 or even 3.73 would be sweet.

I think maybe you need to take a peek under the hood of my car for a clearer definition of "dirty"

How did you achieve the 9 to 1 compression?
                  Thanks.

eta head with eta pistons, eta crank, stock 9.0:1 Just a tad over the b25s 8.8:1

The port work on the head is very close to an i, so the only major difference is the size of the valves. Someday I may swap a 731 head from a 323i and see how that works out.

Took the injectors and rail off today and cleaned them real good. No improvement. I think 1 and 6 arent working at all, I cant hear a click with a screw driver to my ear on those 2. I really hope I can get these injectors soon, ebay guy didnt respond to my email... yikes

Another update, went to the yard on friday and found me an 89i, so I pulled 4 injectors off and swapped out 1 and 6. I still dont think im 100 percent there yet, but wow. Power from idle all the way up. No torque loss, plently of hp. I dont know how high I've reved it yet, but there really is no need to wind out the gears, it just goes.

Throttle response isnt to great, I think the injectors I have on it are a little far gone, or could be leaking. All this should be fixed when I put the m50 injectors in. My mpg gauge isnt working so I'm not sure how fuel milage is effected yet. Seems like I dont have to be on the gas near as much to get it moving, but I know its using a good bit more.

If you own an eta you MUST do this. Cost effective if you are mechanically skilled, and very beneficial. I've got around 700 dollars in parts, and I didnt have to use that 274 cam, could have went with a 325i or a 323i.

for fun. 6600 rpm redline, motronic 1.1, I cant really call it an e anymore, so ill call it a hybrid.

Bosch 17.5lb 4 pintles went in today, took care of the throttle response.

So basically an eta with dual valve springs, a 274 cam, and porting identical to the 'i' head right?
