I guess it's finally time to show my pride and joy to the people of r3v....however, it isn't an E30. This is my 1985 M535i! After patiently searching and waiting, I found it for sale earlier in the year. Come March and it was mine.
It's a November '85 build (Australian compliance - 1986) and is one of 224 Australian delivered cars. There were three choices of gearboxes on these; the standard 5 speed manual, a 4 speed automatic and the 5 speed getrag 265 dogleg (also shared with the E30 M3). Australian cars were available exclusively with the dogleg manual.
It currently has just over 167,000km's on the clock and is overall in a very good condition. I take it out fairly often with the BMW Club of QLD (some of the pictures are from a recent skidpan/driver training day) and will be attending my first track day in September, but I'm always wishing I could drive it more often. I love it.
