I picked up my first e30 a couple weeks ago. It's a black with tan leather interior 90 325is. Stock except for a K&N filter and a catback exhaust of which I can not remember the brand. I drove 10 hours round trip to Cedar Falls Iowa and towed it back to Chicago myself. It has minimal surface rust where paint was chipped off and two medium dents but all are easily repairable.
My plans are to drive it for a semester to get a feel for the car stock, then turn it into a project. It will be stripped, repainted, have the suspension, brakes, and power improved. So far in my plans are koni yellows, gc coilovers, stainless brake lines, better pads, and an m/s50 swap. The engine plans may change though.
Anyways here's the pics:
I was really surprised to find a full sized spare.
