I would never install a roof rack, if I didn't ride so much.
Their unaerodynamic, ugly, and make a shit load of noise in the freeway.
                  What's so cool about them?

You can carry unusually large items atop your unusually small vehicle. It's quite handy actually. Take, a TAXI sign, for example...

I was going for the sarcasm approach. I think the opposite. I'm waiting for some of the teenage- early twenties crowd on r3v to be more creative. But, most just put stickers and roof racks on their e30's and call it a day.

I'd like to see some of the following:

                      - Instead of lowered cars, how about raised?
                      - Restoring cars to stock condition?
                      - People actually painting their cars?
                      - Look to the muscle car scene?
                      - Look to the flying freaking kite scene?
                      - Doing ANYTHING different than the norm (stickers and racks on lowered cars)..

But, what do I know.. Do what you want kids.

Good thing were not driving all driving cars with the aerodynamic value of a brick.
