Avi, let me clarify.
I've had all the suspension components since before we found out Heather was pregnant. The other suspension components that need replacing as well as the diff are not mods, they are parts of the car that need to be replaced before they go completely out or make driving the car unsafe. The rest of the things I've listed are projects that I either already have, or will be little or no cost to me.
As far as financial situations go, mine is just fine. I work 40+ hours a week at my regular job at a good wage, as well as 10-15 hours a week at an evening part-time job. I'm not hurting, my insurance is covering almost the entire pregnancy, and we're doing just fine. But thanks for your concern.
I'm well aware of the financial responsibilites of having a child. My interest in my car will not cease to exist once it comes, it will however become a much less important priority when it comes to money. Now, to set the record straight, I'm not some stupid kid who knocked up his girlfriend. My wife and I planned to have this child, and took into consideration all of the personal and financial sacrifices of having it. I made a point of taking care of a large portion of the bigger projects I wanted to get done on the car quickly, and leaving the rest of the small things to be done as I had the time and money, after the baby is born. My car is a project for me, a hobby, something to put my interest into. My family is my entire life. Not my car.
I'd like to get this thread back on topic now.
