Uhh I'm a little confused here. Didn't 89s come with plastic bumpers? I thought 88s were the last year with metal and they were basically a direct swap to plastic bumpers. And I read somewhere that airbag wheels were first in production the second month of the 1990 model year. Didn't 89s come with non-airbag wheels?

Yeah...that's how he knew it was an 89. Non bag wheel and pb's (plastic bumpers) = 89
