Ravs "NEW" Old Chromie E30 M30 Supercharged

Bought this last weekend. M10 Auto, nothing special, totally basic, no electrics, central locking or comfort features. :-)
Well, after I got back from work, it was out with a bucket and sponge.
Took a broom and pan just in case
Paintwork is still flat atm on the passengerside as I couldn't be bothered anymore today.


After washing it, it was back inside with the bucket, oh and broom and pan, no rust to pick up
Bit of bufty action.

Only T-cut so far, but happy with the results. :D




Roof came out well



And then started to strip out the interior, ready for the M3 rear bench and Recaro LS's, M3 Tech 2 suede steering wheel and gaitors.


Waiting on the Hartges atm , not had time to chase my mate to see if he's done all the sets.

More bufty action after work.
Had to do the bonnet, and passengerside, my bloody arm is killing :D

Cleaned the sunroof area, looks pretty ok, better than what I expected :D





And also changed the seats over, after a mate had been over to install an alarm.

Are you getting one custom machined, or is there a company that makes 'em? What's the management situation going to be?

Also, were you trying to replicate e30 brochure shots in some of your photos? Because that's what they look like :)

No need to fabricate them, there's a German company making them for around £100.
Management wise as far as I know, these can be run on the standard management.

Sure a runs in the paintwork.
But it's only been tarted up for the "German Car Show" this weekend, then when it's back, it'll be stripped and painted.

Todays action, picked up the Hartges, tyres on and now it's started to p1ss down :roll: .
All I need now is to go fill her up, give her a quick wash, and away in the morning to the German car show.

Excuse the 4x4 ride height, but tha'll be sorted out next week.

Small update for today.

Well, not much of an update as such, but I rubbed down the Jimmy Hill and sprayed it black, but i'm not too happy with it.
It had about 4 layers of paint on it, and I can't get the to the tight bits, so gave in finally and this is the result.



Then, thought about getting some bullseyes going.

Took them all apart, cleaned up the reflectors, sprayed the internals and cleaned all the outsides too.




While I was at it, I cleaned and sprayed the buckets, and the actuall lens surrounds, and rings, don't have any High beams yet, but all the crosshairs have been done.



Cleaned all the adjuster up too, so now they're working as they should do.




Cleaned up some "NEW" BMW OEM chrome corners i have, ordered a new chrome centre section, so just waiting on that to land and then bolt it all together.




Got hold of a very very good rear bumper too, just need to pick it up.

These arrived to 2 weeks ago, all ready to go on the Hartges.


And these last week, new Balljoint bushes for the wishbones, all OEM stuff.

The ones on the car will be coming off and will be up for sale, but need a "Rechrome".
Front on is straight, and the rear will need a slight straightening, it has been brushed against by another car.
